ICF stands for International Coach Federation. This international body has been formed by professionals who are practitioners of business and personal coaching. It is a non-profit organization of individual members and is the biggest resource for business and personal coaches. People or organizations, seeking the services of a coach, can approach it to solve their business related problems.
A business coach is a professional who assists clients by facilitating the improvement in the performance of their business through specialized coaching skills, and acts as a catalyst for overall development and growth of the business.
Coaching is an arrangement of continued relationship between the client and the coach, in pursuit of achieving the goals and aspirations of the client. With the help of information supplied by the client, along with whatever information he is able to gather personally, the coach helps the client to realize organizational and personal goals much faster than would have been otherwise possible. The coach does this by increasing the level of awareness of the client, inducing him to become more responsible. He advises and helps the client by furnishing him with the necessary tools, lending support in their implementation, while also offering regular feedback.
Coaching is a field of the specialist. Any organization or person that needs the services of a professional coach would want to be sure that they get a person with the right skills and competence. They also need to be assured of his professional integrity because he would be allowing the coach access to confidential details of his business, without which it would not be possible to formulate corrective plans.

Isle said that as planned, following the sale, it has consolidated its operations onto the remaining larger riverboat in Lake Charles, where it will operate 1,262 slot machines, 40 table games and eight poker tables.

</div>St. Charles Convention Center posts profit for 2011<img src='http://assets.bizjournals.com/stlouis/print-edition/Shura.Lindgren-Garnett-head_web*100.jpg?v=1'>Global Spectrum, manager of the St. Charles Convention Center, said today that the convention center?s net profit of $173,858 on revenue of $5.6 million during 2011 was an all-time high since the venue opened in 2005, and it was the second year since then that it has made a profit.
In 2008, the center was budgeted to lose $374,789, but instead managed a profit of $10,141.

a Code of Professional Standards for its members. It has also devised a university accepted accreditation system to standardize the credentials of its members. This would help prospective clients in choosing the right person for their needs. A coach certified by the ICF is someone who has received professional training in accordance with the standards set by it. They are given coaching skills according to the ICF Competencies and Code of Ethics. A certified coach is then adjudged proficient in the knowledge and use of coaching techniques along the standards defined therein. It also means that the coach is accountable to the ethics and standards set by the ICF. There are three levels of Coach Credential Certifications from the ICF. Basic certification requirements for each level are as follows: a. An Associate Certified Coach (ACC) requires 60 hours of coach specific training, and100 hours of coaching experience with clients. He must satisfactorily complete the oral exam, and agree to adhere to the Code of Ethics as outlined by the ICF. b. A Professional Certified Coach (PCC) requires 125 hours of coach specific training, with 750 hours of coaching experience with clients. Satisfactory completion of written and oral exams is necessary. Agree to adhere to the Code of Ethics as outlined by the ICF, and to continue professional development by renewing credentials every three years c. A Master Certified Coach (MCC) requires 200 hours of coach specific training with 2,500 hours of coaching experience with clients. Satisfactory completion of written and oral exams is required. Demonstrated leadership within the profession is necessary. In addition, agreement to adhere to the Code of Ethics as outlined by the ICF and continued professional development to renew credentials every three years is called for. New car sales in Hawaii increase 4.4% in 2011
New car sales in Hawaii rose by 4.4 percent in 2011, and the Hawaii Automobile Dealers Association says that pent-up demand and growing consumer confidence could mean a 6.9 percent increase in sales for 2012.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports that according to the association's quarterly Hawaii Auto Outlook, there were 35,531 new cars and light trucks registered in Hawaii last year, compared to 34,019 registrations in 2010. Kailua man pleads not guilty to federal fraud charges
A Kailua man has pleaded not guilty to federal fraud charges of stealing nearly $900,000 from people who thought they were investing in post-Hurricane Katrina real estate projects.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports Dan Doyle was told by a federal judge on Wednesday that he could remain free on a $100,000 signature bond pending trial on the 28 counts of fraud related to the investment scheme, which used AM radio shows in California to tout reconstruction projects in Mississippi. The newspaper reports that Doyle's attorney, Michael Green, said he expects to work out a plea agreement with the federal government within the next few months.<div class="feedflare">

Bill would require stricter inspections of Hawaii zip lines
A bill in the Hawaii Legislature would require stricter inspections of zip lines in the state, following a fatal accident on the Big Island last fall in which a tower collapsed, causing a test rider to fall 200 feet to his death.
The Associated Press reports, via the Maui News, that the bill would require the state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to conduct inspections for a $100 fee.

Honolulu cannot start work on rail guideways yet
The City and County of Honolulu cannot begin work on the 30-foot-wide concrete guideways for its rail transit system, despite getting the OK from the federal government to spend nearly $185 million on construction of the foundations and support columns for the system.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports that city officials say the $21.8 million work to make the guideways at a precast yard was excluded from the Federal Transit Administration because the city has yet to finalize a site for the precast yard.<div class="feedflare">

Big Island to receive $1.1M in federal funds for Kailua Pier
Hawaii County will receive nearly $1.1 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help pay for repairs to the Kailua Pier, which was damaged by the March 11 tsunami nearly a year ago.
West Hawaii Today reports the funds will reimburse the state Department of Land and Natural Resources for the work, which includes paving, re-facing embankments and restoring 3,650 square yards of four-inch thick concrete pavement and will be done in stages to minimize shut-downs of the pier.<div class="feedflare">

KTA's Taniguchi to travel to Japan with delegation program
Barry Taniguchi, president of KTA Super Stores on the Big Island, will travel to Japan next month with the Japanese American Leadership Delegation Program.

Horizon Lines ship rescues sailboat crew 400 miles from Hawaii
A Horizon Lines container ship headed for Hawaii from the West Coast rescued three people, including a 9-year-old boy, from a sailboat adrift without power more than 400 miles from Honolulu early Wednesday morning.
